Why does a garment order still travel as WhatsApp screenshots, email chains and spreadsheets?
DAITA started in 2024 with a question that wouldn't go away. Luis and Jérôme could have guessed at the answer from a desk. Instead they went and looked.
They spent a year wherever clothes are actually designed, bought and made, from London and Spain to Italy, Germany, Portugal, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Delhi. Then they did the thing most software founders don't: they moved to Tiruppur, India's knitwear capital, and built DAITA inside a working factory, next to their first customer, until it fit the way merchandisers, factories, buying offices and brands really work.
Along the way they raised $1.2M. Today DAITA is run from Bangalore, and the phone still rings from Tiruppur every day.
